Class Descriptions


Abs Express:         Designed to target your torso working all aspects of the abs and back, sculpting your abs into shape and strengthening your core, which is the key to your overall strength.  If you are new to abdominal training, some of the exercises will be challenging, so make sure you pace yourself and modify as needed. 

Boxing:                   Traditional boxing techniques are combined with contemporary strength training concepts to form a high-octane integrated cardio workout.  Heavy bags, medicine balls, and BOSU trainers are used in a “circuit style” format to round off this fitness experience.  Boxing gloves are provided.  Wraps are recommended.  All fitness levels welcome.

Body Blast:            Blast your body in all directions by incorporating different calisthenics, plyometric and body conditioning exercises.  A total body workout that targets all large muscle groups, plus the core for a super calorie burning experience! Class designs may vary in individual classes, such as, sports related drills, interval and Tabatha training.

 Body Conditioning:  A total body workout designed for improving overall body strength and muscular tone.  Stronger muscles mean building up more lean body mass, turning the body into a better calorie-burning machine.  Many of these strength exercises you can take to the gym floor for your own workouts.  You will definitely notice strength changes for the core, and the upper and lower body.

Body Sculpt:          This class focuses on strength/endurance conditioning lighter weights and greater repetitions make this a great workout for those getting started in resistance training.  All body parts will play a part in this morning calorie burning workout.

Cardio Dance:       For all levels and set to popular music, this class combines traditional cardio moves with dance choreography (hip hop, jazz, Latin, African, and Caribbean) for non-stop groove!

Cardio Sculpt:       Work up a sweat and burn fat using various components of hi-low aerobic moves, and strength training moves.  A diversity of equipment is used to get the heart rate up, the muscles working and the calories burning. The class is equally divided into two segments of cardio and strength with a little core in the mix.  Great for all levels.

Core Fusion:         This barefoot class is a creative blend aerobic dance, sculpting, yoga and Pilates.  The focus is to build endurance, body awareness and strength through a continuous flow of exercises along with the sounds of popular music. 

Group Indoor Cycling:(Cycling classes require advance sign-up) This power packed 45-minute workout is designed to get your heart pumping and the calories burning like no other class.  You will also learn riding techniques that you can take along with you to the great outdoors.  Be ready to be energized!  

New!! Krank Fusion:  Is a blend of group cycle and Kranking which enables you to obtain peak, full-body cardiovascular conditioning while providing muscular conditioning, core strengthening and full-body integration. The class provides equal time on the indoor cycle and Krankcycle in high-intensity, short interval rotation allowing you to achieve and maintain high cardio output and caloric burn for the entire class.

NEW!! Krank Express:  A 30 minute small group training with 4 -5 KRANK cycles.  Focus on upper body cardio and strength that allows participants of all fitness levels to train together while getting an effective workout. 

 Jump Rope:           A great add on to any cardio or weight loss workout!  Learn basic jump rope moves, and learn new ways of jump roping that will include plyometric, body weight, and strength and core exercise sequences.  This class will help you improve your cardio endurance and strength.  All levels of fitness are welcomed. 

Kettle Bells: ($25 fee for new participants’ first two classes only)           Learn to safely implement kettle bell techniques for a super charged workout.  Learn the kettle bell swing, one arm swing, and more using proper mechanics.  All levels are welcome.  After completing the first two classes, participants can continue to take the class without any additional fee and can participate in Hell's Bells.  Kettle bells may be used by participants on their own time once two classes are completed.  Usage is only when classes are not in session.  Check out KB's at the front desk. 

Pilates:                   Pilates mat floor exercises based on the principles of Joseph Pilates that are designed to work the deepest muscles in the body by strengthening and stretching the musculature from the shoulder girdle through the hips while working on balance, posture and increase core strength.

Pilates with Props/Pilates Arms & Legs:  Incorporate balls, resistance bands, magic rings and body bars adding more of a challenge to the traditional mat class. 

Private Pilates: (Fee Based) A private Pilates session with an instructor who will work one-on-one with you, personalizing a workout plan to help you achieve your personal fitness goals.  A private session involves utilizing Pilates equipment (Reformer/Chair) and mat exercises.  A Private session is by appointment.  Check with front desk for rates and instructors availability.

Yoga

Yoga Basics:           Emphasis on developing a strong foundation through basic yoga poses, breathing, flexibility and relaxation. 

Core Yoga:            Challenging yoga with particular emphasis on alignment and building core strength through holding poses for maximum duration. 

Slow Flow & Flow Yoga:  Vinyasa style yoga.  Yoga poses linked with breathing to create a continuous flow workout, promoting strength and flexibility.  Slow Flow (easy to moderate) & Flow (moderate to challenging).

Power Yoga:         Flow style yoga with a vigorous approach.  Good for athletes!  Knowledge of yoga basics is recommended.

ZUMBA:                 Zumba is a fusion of latin and international music/dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective workout!  The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body, combining easy to follow dance moves.  You will move your arms, hips and feet in all directions while getting your groove on.  No dance experience required.  All are welcomed.
